For Grades Kindergarten through Fifth
My name is Sister Vicki Finley. Thank you for your interest in our Children’s Church ministry here at Apostolic Faith Assembly. I would like to share a few things about myself. I was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1991. I am committed to God, and am always trying to live according to His word. I pray daily for God’s perfect will and direction in my life. I love the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul. I have taught Sunday School for over twenty years. A few years ago I felt the Lord leading me in a different direction. I had a vision one night about Children’s Church. The children were all gathered around the front worshiping and praising God. I hold on to that vision God gave me, still today. I love teaching the children, and we have a lot of fun in Children’s church. I feel this ministry is so important for our children because they can be themselves! They share what’s on their hearts, their problems, their fears, and the things they deal with every day. We pray about all their needs together as a family. In Children’s church, the children can praise and worship God in their own way. It is all about the children learning how to be closer to God and knowing him. We have Children’s church on the first and third Sunday every month at 6 pm for grades Kindergarten through Fifth!
My name is Sister Amanda and I have been a Sunday School teacher or assistant teacher for about 11 years. I am privileged to help Sis. Vicki with the Children’s Church ministry. It is easy to see how much she feels God has given her this ministry to reach the children at their level and to teach them how to have a closer walk with God. Sis. Vicki finds so many creative ways for the children to learn about God through games, skits, science experiments, and their own church service. This ministry has a close place in my heart because I was only eight years old when I started my walk with God. I owe this to my mother, who also was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Her Godly example as well as many other Sunday-school teachers have had a great impact on my life and faith. My desire is to make the same impact on future generations through the Children’s Church ministry.
